«ELISABETH COOPER 1763 Sampler

Elisabeth Cooper was born and died in Woodbury.  She was the daughter of David Cooper and Sibyl Matlack.  Elisabeth married John Tatum, also of Woodbury. Elisabeth wrought her sampler in 1763.  It is listed in American Samplers by Bolton and Coe.  It was donated to the Society in 1937 by her great-great-granddaughter.
